El Dorado Salvation Army Still Has Angels Ready to Adopt

The Salvation Army in El Dorado opened up their Angel Tree shop this morning.
MONROE -- The Salvation Army in El Dorado opened up their Angel Tree shop this morning.

Each year, the Salvation Army makes Christmas a reality for more than 600 children in South Arkansas.

The shop is located at the old El Dorado High School on Timberlane Road.

There's still quite a few cards left on the tree. The Salvation Army hopes to have all donations in by next week.

"We are begging the community to help and donate and if you have an angel - return it because for every notecard you see out here that's blank that means I don't have a gift for that child," said Capt. Nakisha Carr with the El Dorado Salvation Army.

They say you can drop off donations all next week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the shop or at the Salvation Army headquarters on 419 S Madison Avenue in El Dorado.
