EL DORADO, AR. -  According to a report from the El Dorado police department, e
mployees at a local nursing center say they walked in on a man who appeared to be sexually assaulting an Alzheimer’s patient there, on Saturday.
A certified nursing assistant said after entering the 90 year old woman's room, she saw a man standing next to the woman’s bed and saw what appeared to be the woman performing a sex act on the man
The employee said she then summoned the on-duty licensed practical nurse, and when she returned to the room, the suspect was lying on the patient’s bed, and the patient, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and severe short-term memory loss, was still performing the sex act.
The LPN said that when she made it to the room, the suspect was standing next to the bed, with his pants up and zipper open.
Employees said the suspect placed his hands in front of his zipper in an apparent attempt to cover it.
The LPN said she told the man to leave, and he declared that he was the pastor of an area church.
She then ordered him to leave the facility immediately.
Police said they contacted the woman’s daughter about the incident, and the investigation is ongoing. They have not released the names of those involved or the name of the nursing center.
