Walmart Trying Out New Price Comparison App

Walmart is trying out a new price comparison program.
Little Rock -- Walmart is trying out a new price comparison program.

The new app will find deals for you by comparing its competitors' prices and will pay you the difference

The app is being tested in seven of the store's biggest markets. Usually it's up to the shopper to ask for a price match discount at the register. But Walmart wants shoppers go to their savings catcher website with their receipt in hand.

If Walmart finds a better deal the difference will go into your personal account as store credit.

"It was a small receipt, shopping receipt and I saved like a $1.74, like that, and it was like, might as well, it's extra money," says Cathy Tovar.

Shoppers have to register online, and must spend their savings at Walmart.
