UPDATE Friday 8:40 a.m. -- Ouachita Parish firefighters confirm to KTVE/KARD a West Monroe woman has died in Thursday night's trailer fire.

That fire broke out inside a trailer on Spell St. in the Bawcomville area. Firefighters said they got the call around 9:23 p.m.

Firefighters said the blaze started on the couch inside the trailer where a West Monroe woman, 56-year-old Charlotte Gill, was sleeping. Firefighters said Gill woke up with severe burns and ran to the bathroom where she succumbed to the smoke.

The State Fire Marshal's Office said Gill lived in the trailer with a boyfriend of eight years. The boyfriend was not in the trailer at the time of the fire.

Gill's body has been sent to Little Rock for an autopsy. Fire officials will wait on its results to determine her definitive cause of death.

The State Fire Marshal's Office said the cause of the fire is officially undetermined at this time but they did find possible accidental causes such as cigarettes, other smoking materials and incense near the fire's area of origin. According to investigators, there are no signs of foul play.
