UPDATE: Jimmy Graham Agrees to Long Term Deal with the Saints

The Saints and Jimmy Graham have agreed to a new deal for the All-Pro tight end.
UPDATE: According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal between the Saints and Jimmy Graham is a four-year, $40 million deal that includes $21 million guaranteed.

New Orleans -- The Saints and Jimmy Graham have agreed to a new deal for the All-Pro tight end.

Details of the deal have not been released, but Jimmy Graham made the announcement on Twitter.

Saints Senior Vice President of Communications Greg Bensel followed with: "The New Orleans Saints @Saints confirm that the team has agreed to terms on multi-year deal with TE Jimmy Graham.

The Saints and Graham had to reach an agreement on a long-term deal by 3 p.m. today. If they didn't, Graham would have had to play out the season under the franchise tag.

The deal is expected to make Graham the highest paid tight end in the NFL.
