UPDATE: Burn Ban Lifted for Lincoln Parish

The burn ban in Lincoln Parish has been lifted.
UPDATE:  The burn ban for Lincoln Parish is lifted. 

LINCOLN PARISH -- The dry weather in the ArkLaMiss has prompted fire officials to take extra precautions.

The Lincoln Parish Fire Protection District No.1 has issued a burn ban effective immediately for Lincoln Parish until further notice.

No outdoor burning is allowed.

So far, this is the only Parish we are aware of that has issued a burn ban.

Anyone found to be violating this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 dollars, together with all costs of court, or a jail sentence not to exceed six months, or both.
