Unrestrained Driver Killed In Caldwell Parish

Louisiana State Police say a 77-year-old Columbia Man has died in an early morning accident.

CALDWELL PARISH – A 77-year-old Columbia man has died due to a single car crash, early Monday morning, according to Louisiana State Police.

Police say Isaac McClanahan was traveling north on Louisiana Highway 133, when his 2001 Ford truck traveled off the right side of the road, while taking a curve, striking a covert.  He died at the scene.

McClanahan was not wearing his seat belt. A Toxicology sample was taken and submitted for analysis, but police do not believe McClanahan was intoxicated.

The crash is still under investigation
