The forum helped folks with everything then need to start their own companies.

MONROE – The 2nd Annual Small Business Forum was held Saturday at the Monroe Convention Center.

The event brought together more than two dozen state and federal agencies, banks, micro-lenders, and non-profits to discuss a number of issues facing prospective entrepreneurs who want to start a business.

Attendees say they took away tons of great information.

"The event covered anything you needed to know if you want to start a new business,” said Pashen Sims, a prospective business owner.  “From advertising to starting up a business plan, it's just a whole lot of great information!."
