Two different polls in the Arkansas U.S. Senate race is showing two results.
WEST MONROE -- Two different polls in the Arkansas U.S. Senate race is showing two results.

In the 'Talk Business and Hendrix College' poll, Congressman Tom Cotton is leading Senator Mark Pryor by 44 percent to 42 percent.

A Harstad Strategic Research poll commissioned by the Pryor Campaign, found the incumbent Pryor leading 45 percent to 39 percent.

Former 5th District Congressman and Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs Rodney Alexander has officially been cleared by the Ethics Board to become a lobbyist.

He can lobby the governor and Legislature and every state agency in Louisiana — except the Department of Veterans Affairs.

And hundreds of new laws goes into effect on Friday in Louisiana.

Among them a law prohibiting the use of tanning beds by anyone under the age of 18 and another law that makes it illegal to sell electronic cigarettes to minors.
