A group of Monroe pre-school students raised thousands of dollars for a good cause.
TUESDAY- A group of Monroe pre-school students raised thousands of dollars for a good cause.

Students at First United Methodist Church released balloons in celebration of their fund raising efforts for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. They spent the last two weeks raising money by baking and selling cookies and cakes. One student decided to take the cause online.

“One of the kids made artwork. They painted, drew, and she put it on Facebook. Then they auctioned off her artwork for St. Jude," says Mandy Booth of First United Methodist Church.

The students raised more than ten thousand dollars for St. Jude.
