Monument to the Ouachita Parish War Casualties

Project Chairman, Kay Kellogg Katz join us to talk about the Fort Miro Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution celebrating its 100 year and a monument to the Ouachita Parish war casualties.
Fort Miro Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution is celebrating its
100th year, and the Chapter chose at its project to erect a monument to the Ouachita Parish War casualties.

The Monroe City Council voted to allow the monument on the grounds of City
Hall to complement the Korean War and Vietnam War Monuments.

Dedication of the monument will be Friday, July 4, at 4:00pm on the grounds of
City Hall.
The public is invited. Convenient parking is in the City Court's parking on
Calypso St.

The monument contains 164 names of the fallen.
