Memorial United Methodist Church at 401 Sherrouse in Monroe, invites members, friends, and the public to attend a gospel/blues concert by blues artist, Walter Jr, (Walter Pousson, Jr.), on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 6:00 PM.
Walter Jr, as he is known up and down Louisiana is one of the premier "Bluesman" of Louisiana. He has now turned to Christian music, is a certified lay minister from Northwood United Methodist Church in Lafayette and is an extremely well trained and gifted singer, songwriter, worship leader, and preacher. "His unique, and sometimes funky, insight into the movement of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, and the life of the church, is a wonderful gift at just the right time", Ed Boyd, Acadiana District Supt. of United Methodist Church," stated recently.

Walter Jr. will also be at the Sunday, April 27th morning worship at 10:30 am at Memorial. There is no charge for the concert but a love offering will be collected. You won't want to miss "The Return of the Prodigal Son" and listen to the original songs from scripture as Walter Jr. gives a Sacred Concert for an evening of joyful music.
