McAllister Supports Passage of Farm Bill

Congressman Vance McAllister says he's pleased with the House passage of the farm bill.
Washington D.C. -- U.S. Rep. Vance McAllister, R-Swartz, issued the following statement today after passage of the FARM Conference Report.

“This is a critical step forward for farmers in knowing that programs and insurance are in place as they work on receiving loans and beginning to plant their crops. I am proud to know that since I have been serving in Congress, this is the 3rd consecutive bipartisan major bill to be passed. I believe the noise made by the Fifth District is being heard and we are working together in small increments to make government work for everyone, but we cannot stop here. We still have a long way to go in reducing spending and eliminating government waste.”

U.S. Rep. Vance McAllister, R-Swartz, represents Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District and serves on the House Committee on Natural Resources and the House Committee on Agriculture.
