Local Tattoo Studio Thanks Community for Tornado Relief Donations

A West Monroe business is stepping up to help those affected by the recent tornadoes.
UPDATE:

WEST MONROE -- Cold Desert tattoo studio in West Monroe wrapped up its donation collection on Tuesday night for those affected by the recent tornadoes in the South.

The Cypress Street business had previously planned to deliver the items to the locations in Arkansas.

However, volunteers say that center is overstocked so the donations will now be sent to the Red Cross center in Brandon, Mississippi.

Cold Desert employees say the response from the community has been tremendous.

"Everyday when we've come to work, we've had boxes and boxes of things that people have left at our door step before we even opened," said Robin Moore of the tattoo studio. "People are still loading up the trailer, we started last night, we've had a lot of people help load the trailer because that's the really hard part of the job."

Cold Desert volunteers will leave for Mississippi at 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.

UPDATE:
