Edwin Edwards says he's considering running for office once again.
He was a popular Louisiana governor. Then he went to jail, but could we see Edwin Edwards back in public office?

Edwards says he may run for Congress.

The 86-year-old Democrat, served eight years in prison for racketeering.

Bloomberg's Al Hunt reports Edwards says he will run for Congress in 2014. However, Edwards disputes that report to WAFB television in Baton Rouge, saying he's only considering a run.

If he runs, Edwards would seek the seat of Representative Bill Cassidy, who's running for Senate.
