Fill the Overpass Event Set for This Sunday

Sergeant Craig Honeycutt from the Monroe Police Department and Blue Star Mom, Jayme Watson visited KTVE 10 News 10 to talk about a event that supports our Vietnam Veterans as they pass through Monroe and West Monroe on their way to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
West Monroe -- It’s time once again for the annual Run for the Wall event. Hundreds of motorcyclist from California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas on their way to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. will be passing through the West Monroe, Monroe area on May 18, 2014. The riders will be headed east on I-20. Many of these cyclists are Vietnam Veterans, past, and present service men and women and those just wanting to show their respect and thanks for those who serve and for those who have served. Come help fill the Nutland Road and Downing Pines overpass with your red, white and blue in a show of support and welcome the riders to West Monroe and Monroe. The motorcycles should be passing through around 5pm so get there early! The riders will be stopping at the Barak Shrine Temple for the night. Hope to see you on the overpass on May 18, 2014 at 5:00.
