Felicia Bolton is originally from Dallas, Texas and is proud to make Louisiana her new home. Her passion for broadcast journalism ignited at an early age while attending an advanced immersion dual college credit program called Richland Collegiate High School of Mathematics, Science and Engineering. During that time she participated in the high school newscast, RCH-TV. As a member of the first graduating class, she laid the foundation for her career by earning a distinguished high school diploma and an Associate of Science Degree.
After high school she graduated early, Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with B.A. degrees in Spanish and Broadcast Communications. She advanced in her studies by studying abroad at the Latin American University of Science and Technology in San José, Costa Rica. While in Costa Rica, she lived with a host family and spent her spare time building houses in poverty-stricken areas.
During her college career, she grew in her broadcast experience by interning at WFAA-TV and KTVT-TV in Dallas. In addition to this, she worked as the online content producer for “The Shortcast” and an entertainment reporter for D210-TV. Within months after graduation, she worked full time as an anchor / reporter for KOSA-TV in Odessa, Texas.
Her accomplishments include: Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Best Video Package Award, UTA Communications Scholarship Recipient, Golden Key International Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, UTA Communications Honor Society (Top 5%), UTA Dean’s List, UTA Honor Society, and Vice President/ Philanthropy Chair of UTA Association of Women in Communications.
Felicia is a fluent in Spanish and English. In her spare time she enjoys giving back to the community through volunteering and mentorship.
