Eun Jung Ok: A ULM Legend

Former Warhawk EJ Lee Ok had her jersey retired on Saturday.
MONROE, La.  The ULM Department of Athletics honored program great Eun Jung (Lee) Ok, retiring her jersey on Saturday. This was the fourth major post-playing career honor for Ok as she is already a member of the ULM Hall of Fame, the Southland Conference Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Hall of Fame.
 
Ok played from 1982-86 and was part of back-to-back-to-back NCAA Tournament teams. As a freshman, Ok helped the s reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament and it finished with a 23-6 overall record and a perfect 5-0 mark in Southland Conference play.
 
A year later, the team again reached the “Big Dance” and reached the second round. That season, the team finished 23-4 overall (12-0 SLC) and earned a final Associated Press ranking of 13. During Ok’s junior season, the team rolled to a 30-2 record (12-0 SLC) and reached the NCAA Final Four before falling to Old Dominion in the National Semifinals. The 1984-85 club finished ranked No. 2 in the final Associated Press poll that season.
 
During her final season in Monroe, Ok and her teammates finished 26-3 overall (12-0 SLC) and earned a ranking of 13 in the final Associated Presspoll.
 
Ok is one of two players in program history to score more than 2,000 points in a career as she finished with 2,208 points (second all-time).
