HEADS OF STATE features three dynamic lead singers for the legendary six-member group NEW EDITION. Over the past three decades, the group has released timeless classics and gain millions of fans worldwide. With Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, and Bobby Brown performing, fans will get four shows in one…as they sing some of their NEW EDITION hits and some of the classic from each of their own solo careers.

When NEW EDITION first hit the charts in 1983, its members were between 14 and 16 years old. Many music critics say their early music (bubblegum sweet pop) paved the way for successful boy bands of the late 1990’s and early 2000’s like the Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, and elBoyz II Men. These R&B legends were a part of eight total albums as members of NEW EDITION, including a 25th Anniversary edition of “Candy Girl”. They recorded multiple timeless classic hits such as “Candy Girl”, “Mr. Telephone Man”, “Is This The End”, “Can You Stand the Rain”, “If It Isn’t Love”, “N.E. Heartbreak’ and “You’re Not My Kind of Girl”.

Johnny Gill, Ralph Tesvant, and Bobby Brown's success continued as solo artists, with multiple Grammy nominations, #1 singles and #1 albums, and multi-million album sales.

Johnny Gill is known for hits such as “Half Crazy”, “Where Do We Go from Here”, “My, My, My” as a solo artist, and others as member of another supergroup, LSG (with Gerald LeVert, Keith Sweat and himself).

Ralph Tresvant is known for hits such as “Sensitivity”, “Stone Cold Gentleman”, and “Do What I Gotta Do”.

Bobby Brown is known for hits such as: “My Prerogative”, “Roni”, “Every Little Step I Take”, “On Our Own”, “Something in Common (duet with Whitney Houston) and many more.

In addition to serving as the show’s host, Grammy nominated MC LYTE will also give a LIVE performance of some of her old school Hip-Hop Classics. LYTE first gained fame in the late 1980’s. She recorded her first song I Cram to Understand You in 1986, and has been active in the entertainment business ever since. She became the first solo female rapper to release a full album with 1988’s Lyte As a Rock. During her career, she has released 10 albums with noted hits such as “Paper Thin”, “Cha Cha Cha”, “Poor Georgie”, “Cold Rock a Party”, and more! MC LYTE is still very busy today as an emcee-songwriter, speaker, DJ, narrator, mentor, and actress.
