Cooking with "Chef Rev." Smother Gumbo Chicken

James "Rev." Smith from Rayville join us in the kitchen to cook up a home-style meal, smother gumbo chicken.
Smother Gumbo Chicken Wings

(Recipe/ Ingredients:)

3 bags chicken wings
1/4 cup tony's chachere's
5 tbsp Accents
3 cup vegetable oil
2 cups flour

1 1/2 cup water
1 cup chicken stock
1 cup diced tomatoes
2 tbsp tomatoe paste
1/2 cup okra

1/2 cup red/green bell peppers
2 tbsp cumbo seasoning
1 tbsp salt
1 cup cooked rice

season chicken wings. flour chicken wings. fry in hot vegetable oil until golden brown. place fried chicken on paper towel. take a large skillet, put 1 1/2 cup of water in it, with 1 cup chicken stock. add diced tomatoes and tomatoe paste. add red and green bell peppers and 2 tbsp. gumbo seasoning, cook until tender, then add okra. Cook until done. add salt to taste. Add cooked rice mix well. Then add chicken wings to mixture. Let simmer for 10 mintues. if need to add a little more water.
