An independent advisory committee has recommended to the government that the vast majority of hundreds of chimpanzees in research facilities across the nation be retired to the federal sanctuary system.
An independent advisory committee has recommended to the government that the vast majority of hundreds of chimpanzees in research facilities across the nation be retired to the federal sanctuary system.  A decision from the National Institues of Health is expected soon.  This could mean the end to some invasive research -- research like a chimpanzee named Tika had to undergo.  NBC 10's Heather Parker reports
