Black History Events at ULM This Week

From an Army Lt. General to a concert, ULM is offering several ways to celebrate Black History Month.
Tuesday, Feb. 18:
At 5:30 p.m., in the ULM Library Conference Center, located on the seventh floor of the ULM Library, Lt. General Russel L. Honore’ will present “The New Normal: Leadership and Preparedness in the 21st Century.”  A reception and book signing will follow.

Wednesday, Feb. 19:
The Black History Art Expo begins at 5 p.m. in the ULM Library Conference Center, located on the seventh floor of the ULM Library. A reception will follow.

Sunday, Feb. 23:
A Gospel Concert will be held at 4 p.m., in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall. This concert will feature a number of local and university choirs including the ULM Interdenominational Ensemble, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church Choir, the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Youth and Young Adult Choir, and the Zion Traveler’s Male Quartet.
