Little Rock -- (Press Release) Kevin Delaney, director of visitor experience at the Museum of Discovery (MOD), will wow a nationwide audience on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon at 10:30 p.m., Monday, May 5.

He’ll demonstrate the same sort of “Awesome Science” experiments he performs for Arkansas school children every week at the Museum of Discovery. Only this time Jimmy Fallon will be his lab assistant!

So how did Kevin get this awesome opportunity?

It all started with an unexpected phone call from NBC in mid-January. A producer from The Tonight Show contacted MOD chief marketing officer Kendall Thornton saying that Jimmy Fallon, the show’s soon-to-be new host, wanted to feature periodic science segments. The producers were contacting more than 50 science-focused museums around the country to see if they had a “science someone” who might be a good fit for “The Tonight Show.”

Delaney has performed experiments for students at the museum for the last few years.
