MONROE, La. -- After a stellar senior campaign, former ULM pitcher Tyler Bray heard his named called on the third and final day of the MLB First Year Player Draft.

Bray, a native of Vancleave, Miss., was taken in the 26th round (795th pick overall) by the St. Louis Cardinals. He is just the second Warhawk to ever be drafted by the Cardinals (Matt Lane, P, 16th Rd. / 500th overall, 2005 draft).

Bray finished his senior season with an 8-5 record overall and five saves as he was one of 14 pitchers nationally to lead his team in both wins and saves. Bray saw action in 33 games (one start) and posted a 3.36 ERA with 69 punchouts in 67.0 innings of work.
