Monroe -- ULM’s Todd Berry opened up his 5th camp Wednesday as head coach of the Warhawks.

He's tells KTVE Sports recently this could be one of his best teams yet. Nine returners highlight his defensive unit and an experienced line and running back corps could make the offense one of the better in the SunBelt.

The quarterback spot is very much up in the air. He's got Brayle Brown & Earnest Carrington back plus he's added N.C. State transfer Pete Thomas.

"Yeah the NCAA doesn't allow us to go out and look at these kids. We have a lot of question marks about Pete Thomas, the transfer quarterback from North Carolina State. We haven't seen him. Obviously he's been working out all summer with the guys, but we're anxious to see where he's at” said Coach Todd Berry.

The Warhawks continue through Saturday with split squad on Thursday.
