With Saturday's win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Grambling has now ripped off eight straight.
The G-Men accomplished that feat for the second year in a row and the fourth time this decade.
With that, Broderick Fobbs and his men bumped up a spot to number 11 in the Stats FCS Top 25 Poll.
However, the 9th consecutive victory could be tough.
They hook up with a 3-5 Alabama State crew on Saturday.
Despite their losing record, they've won each of their games since replacing their head coach in October.
During that stretch, they've held their opponents to 11 points per week.
"They're very good up front, " says Grambling head coach Broderick Fobbs. "Very, very big, athletic, they get after you. And, what Coach Hill has done a really good job of is leaning on his defense, so his offense complements his defense. He's trying to run the football. He's trying to run the clock. And, he's trying to create situations where he protects his baby which is his defense. You know they're are struggling to score points...But, what they're trying to do is run the football, and keep the game close."
Grambling plays at Alabama State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
