Riser Leading in New Poll of Potential Congressional Candidates

West Monroe -- State Senator Neil Riser, who is considering a run for Congress, is leading in a new poll of potential Congressional candidates.

Riser polled 48 percent over seven other potential candidates in a 503-sample automated poll by The Glascock Group.

Riser was followed by: Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo, Democrat, 14 percent; Monroe businessman Harris Brown, Republican, 9; Rep. Robert Johnson, D-Marksville, 9; Alexandria attorney Eddie Tarpley, Republican, 8; Rep. Jay Morris, R-Monroe, 6; McAllister’s chief of staff Adam Terry, Republican, 5; Boyce businessman Clay Grant, Libertarian, 2.
