West Monroe -- It's all about the money.

Republican Bill Cassidy says his campaign for senate raised one million dollars in the latest fundraising quarter.

Cassidy's campaign says the congressman has nearly $4.2 million in cash on hand for the race against Democratic incumbent Mary Landrieu.

Not to be outdone, Landrieu's re-election campaign says the three term Senator raised
nearly $1.4 million during the same time frame.

Overall, Landrieu has $6.37 million in cash on hand.

At least two other Republicans, State Rep. Paul Hollis and Rob Maness, are also running to unseat Landrieu.

And when it comes to the 2016 Presidential Race, former Republican Presidential nominee John McCain knows who he likes.

In an appearance this week on the "Tonight Show", McCain was asked whom he would support.

His answer..."I think we’ve got a lot of governors. I like Chris Christie. I like Bobby Jindal."
