West Monroe -- Governor Bobby Jindal is heading to the Granite State.

The visit is scheduled to take place in March, where Jindal will deliver the keynote address to the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference.

The trip will lead to further speculation that Jindal is looking to enter the 2016 presidential race.

John Bel Edwards is the only Democrat to announce he's running for Louisiana Governor in 2015 and is hoping to keep it that way.

In offering his congratulations to newly re-elected New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, Edwards wrote “I can tell you that when I make a promise, I keep it.”

Landrieu was asked at a recent election forum if he would serve out his second term, Landrieu said he would.

And with the recent re-launch of "Project Geaux Red", the Louisiana Republican Party is hoping to grow its base.

It's sole purpose, to defeat incumbent Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu.

Landrieu is facing a challenge from three Republicans, Congressman Bill Cassidy, Paul Hollis and Rob Maness.
