West Monroe -- Early voting continues through Saturday for the May 3 general election.

Voting will continue through April 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Several parishes in northeast Louisiana are holding elections. They include: Catahoula, Grant, Lasalle, Livingston, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Union, and Winn.

Among the items on the ballot is the Tallulah Mayoral race.

Eight candidates are running to lead Tallulah. The race was delayed after the death of incumbent Mayor Eddie Beckwith.

His death lead to qualifying reopening and several new candidates filing to run.

Tallulah residents will also vote in the runoff election for police chief.

Voters in Ouachita, Richland, LaSalle, Morehouse and Union Parish will also decide on a number of tax renewals and school board propositions.
