KTVE/KARD -- A poll by the Liberty Foundation of America shows Congressman Bill Cassidy leading Senator Mary Landrieu 44% to 42%.

The poll didn't list any other candidate in the U.S. Senate race. Republicans Robb Maness and Paul Hollis are also running for senate.

State democrats have created a new website targeting congressman Bill Cassidy and his support for the House Republican budget plans.

The www.cassidycare.com website is paid for by Democratic State Central Committee Of Louisiana.

And tossing a cigarette butt out of a car window can cost you big time if lawmakers approve a bill.

The senate voted 35-2  for a house-approved bill that allows the levying of fines against people who throw cigarettes out their car windows.

A first offense carrys a $300 fine and eight hours of community service in a litter cleanup program.

A second offense would cost $700 and require 16 hours of community service. On a third offense, violators could give up their driver's licenses for a year, pay a $1,500 fine.

The bill now moves back to the House for a final vote.
