OUACHITA PARISH - According to Louisiana State Police, one woman has died in a Saturday morning head-on collision.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2013 Toyota Camry, driven by 79-year-old Anne Jarmon of West Monroe, was traveling east on Louisiana Highway 34 when it attempted to pass another vehicle traveling east. The Camry was unable to reenter its travel lane before striking a 2008 Toyota Yaris, driven by 63-year-old Margaret McDonald of Eros, that was traveling west on Louisiana Highway 34 head on.
Jarmon was wearing her seat belt, suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to a hospital in
Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Toxicology samples were taken and submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
