The new satellite will improve communication capabilities between astronauts on the International Space Station and mission control.
About half the weight of the satellite is rocket fuel, very hazardous stuff, especially if you're trying to move it.
The 8,000 pound satellite will be sealed into the nose-cone of a rocket, which is waiting nearby in halves, like clam shells.
The launch is set for the night of January 23rd.
