Texting & Driving Will Cost You a Ticket in Louisiana

If you're thinking about texting while driving, you better think twice. Pretty soon -- you can be pulled over and hit with fines just for texting the message. Starting in August, texting and driving will be a primary offense. That means police can pull you over for simply texting and driving. For the first offense, tickets are $175. After that you'll pay $500 for typing that message on your phone.
