A super PAC supporting Vitter and his political future raised $1.5 million last year.

Vitter still has not said publicly if he's running for governor or not.
Another potential candidate for governor is also doing well when it comes to campaign funds.
Louisiana Treasurer John Kennedy filed his campaign finance report with the state Ethics Administration.
The Republican raised more than $835,000 last year and has nearly $3 million sitting in the bank.
And the Louisiana Legislative Session doesn't start until March 10, but bills are steadily being filed.
Two house bills that stand out deal with guns.
One would allow law enforcement officers to carry firearms inside bars and establishments that serve alcohol whether or not they’re on duty.
And another would require all gun buyers to pass a firearms safety course.
