WEST MONROE  – Police in West Monroe say a man was arrested early Friday morning after hitting a pedestrian on LA Highway 617.

Police say Jerimy Lee Johnston was traveling north on LA-617 when a man walked into the roadway.  Johnston was unable to avoid the man, who sustained severe injuries.

The man was sent to a hospital in Shreveport.
