BASTROP (KTVE/KARD) -- A "Back to School Bash" has been all set for students in Morehouse Parish to celebrate the return of the school year.
Morehouse Parish Superintendent Dr. George Noflin said the event will take place at Bastrop High School on August 18th at 6 p.m.
Noflin said the bash will give out school supplies and will feature performances by school organizations as well as a speech from the event's keynote speaker, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Chaplain R.V. Brown.
Brown is also an associate evangelist with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and is set to address the audience during the bash, getting students excited about the beginning of the upcoming school year on August 19th.
Noflin also said there will be food, music and plenty of activities for all those who attend.
Weather permitting, Noflin said the event will either take place inside the Bastrop High School Auditorium or on the BHS football field.
