New Orleans -- (USA Today) NFL arbitrator Stephen Burbank ruled Wednesday that Jimmy Graham, the New Orleans Saints star, is a tight end, not a wide receiver, for franchise tag purposes.

The Saints assigned Graham the franchise tag earlier this year, and Burbank's ruling means it comes with a $7.05 million salary, rather than the $12.3 million assigned to a wide receiver.

Graham will have the chance to appeal Burbank's ruling.
