The party was put together by the ULM Alumni Association as an effort to bring more people to the organization.
The Alumni Association is a resource for former students to network and meet new alumni.
The Bayou Bash included family fun events such as face painting, games, and food.
Organizers say the University and the Alumni Association are invaluable to the community.
"The University economically is really unmeasured at this point,” said Director of Alumni Affairs, Robin Underwood. “It reaches so many different organizations. University involvement and commitment from the community is key."
