New Arthritis Treatment

Psoriatic arthritis is a chronic disorder with uncontrolled joint inflammation that can take a physical toll on patients, and have a significant impact on disease-related quality of life.

According to experts, many patients with psoriatic arthritis find their current treatments unsatisfactory and most felt new treatment options are needed. Now, there is a new treatment for those with this painful condition.

Dr. Alvin Wells will be available to tell your audience about OTEZLA® (apremilast), a new option recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adult patients with active psoriatic arthritis. Lisa Harris, will accompany Dr. Wells to talk about her personal diagnosis and treatment story. Lisa was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis at the age of 35 after experiencing serious swelling in her hands that began to interfere with her day-to-day activities. As her condition worsened, the pain spread to additional joints and other parts of her body and significantly limited Lisa’s daily activities, including her ability to work. After getting on OTEZLA®, she has seen significant improvement in her signs and symptoms of this painful condition.
