For safety's sake, be sure you and your child always wear helmets when biking, roller skating, and skateboarding-even just in the driveway.

Otherwise, an accident could cause serious head injury.

It is very important to wear a helmet that fits correctly.

When choosing a helmet keep these tips in mind.

Choose a helmet your child will wear.

Take your child to pick out their helmet.

Let them pick out the style and color they want.

Look for the CPSC, ASTM or Snell seal of approval.

These organizations test helmets for safety.

Never use a helmet that has been in a crash.

A damaged helmet may not protect the head.

Always have your child try on the helmet.
