Welcome to Home health House Calls.

Everyone feels down at times. The blues are a natural part of life. But an unhappy period that is intense or lasts for more than a couple of weeks can be a sign of depression. Depression is a serious illness. It can disrupt the lives of family and friends. Know the warning signs. People who are depressed may feel unhappy, down, or miserable nearly every day. They may lose interest in hobbies, friends and activities that used to give pleasure. Constantly being tired or having a hard time concentrating or making decisions are also signs of depression. If you know someone who you think is depressed, there are ways you can help. Keep in mind that even though depression is a frustrating illness, with help, a depressed person can feel better.
