UPDATE: Man wanted after woman found dead arrested in Texas

Should be considered armed and dangerous

EL DORADO, Ark. - UPDATE (2/12/17): The man who was wanted in connection to a recent homicide investigation has been arrested.

Jeffrey Burton was arrested in Houston, Texas.


UPDATE (2/12/17): El Dorado Police are currently searching for a man wanted for a recent homicide in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Investigators are searching for 43-year-old Jeffrey Jerome Burton.

Officials tell us Burton is connected with the homicide investigation that began on February 11, 2018, after a woman was found dead in her car.

Burton is wanted for murder 1st degree, enhanced penalties-felony with a firearm, and arson. 

Burton has ties to Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and California. 

Burton is considered to be armed and dangerous.

If your information leads to the arrest of Burton, you could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.

(2/11/18) -- El Dorado Police have confirmed that the body of a woman was found Saturday around 3:30 PM at the intersection of Oak Valley and West Main in El Dorado after the call of a welfare check. 

Police say the woman was found inside a parked car. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Her body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime lab for autopsy and cause of death. Her identity is not being released until the family is contacted.
