Woman accused of macing infant

MONROE, La. - A Monroe woman is accused of macing an infant after an altercation with one of her tenants.

Ruthie Jackson,  on charges of aggravated battery and cruelty to juveniles.

On September 8, 2017, Monroe Police responded to 314 Bell Avenue of Monroe in reference to a disturbance.

Jackson advised, while at her rental property, she had a verbal argument which then turned into a physical alterction with one of her tenants.

Jackson said she was poked in the eye by her tenant. She said she then maced the tenant who was holding an infant of around 12 to 18 months old.

Jackson has been transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of aggravated battery and cruelty to juveniles.

Her bond has not yet been set.
