Vicksburg minister charged with sex crimes

VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) - Sheriff Martin Pace confirms 48-year-old Troy Anthony Piccaluga has been charged with 2 counts of statutory rape and one count of sexual battery.

According to Pace, the alleged crimes involve two separate victims between the ages of 14 and 16.

Deputies issued a warrant and searched Piccaluga's home in the Redwood community Thursday. He appeared before a judge this morning. Bond was denied.

Sheriff Pace would not comment on what the search warrant uncovered. This is an ongoing investigation.

The investigation began after the department received information that a juvenile had a sexual relationship with an older male.

Piccaluga told investigators he is the Pastor at both Eagle Lake Methodist Church and Redwood Methodist Church.
