University of Louisiana at Monroe named ‘Best 4-Year College'

MONROE, La. - This week the University of Louisiana Monroe was named “Best 4-Year College” in the state by Schools.com.

ULM’s ranking for best on-campus and online college was attributed to factors such as affordability and variety of degree program options.

Each university in the state was evaluated in 13 different criteria and scored on a 100-point scale, according to Schools.com.

ULM President Nick J. Bruno commented on the ranking, saying, “I am very pleased that Schools.com recognized the efforts by our faculty and staff to provide the best academic experience possible and providing it at the most reasonable cost.”

Data was used from the National Center for Education Statistics and other sources under the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate schools on criteria that is important to students.  

Factors include cost of in-state tuition and fees for full-time undergraduates, number of degrees and certificate programs offered, average net price and much more.
