Police need your help finding an escaped inmate

UNION PARISH, La. - UPDATE: Lamb has been captured in Jefferson Parish.

The Union Parish Sheriff's Office (UPSO) is currently searching for an escaped inmate.

On 10/31/2017, at approximately 3:30 am, UPSO was notified that William C. Lamb had walked away from his work release job at Foster Farms poultry plant, 6648 Hwy 15 N, Farmerville, LA. Lamb is an inmate incarcerated at Richwood Correctional Center.

Lamb is a 25-year-old white male with black hair, approximately 5'10" tall, and weighs 145 lbs. It is believed that Lamb burglarized several vehicles this morning on Cherry Ridge Road, and is now wearing camo clothing and tennis shoes.

Lamb should be driving a 2015 Toyota Tacoma, green in color, that was stolen from Cherry Ridge Road before daylight hours this morning.

If you see this person, do not approach. We have no indication he is armed but does have a violent history. Call UPSO at 318-368-3124 or 911 immediately.

Lamb is currently incarcerated for robbery and theft charges. He is from the Orleans Parish area but also has ties to Illinois.
