ULM's Baptist Collegiate Ministries gets new student center

MONROE, La. - The Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) broke ground on a new student center on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe on March 8, 2017.

The BCM is a campus-based Christian ministry that works as an extension of the local Southern Baptist churches of the Northeast Louisiana area. The BCM is a ministry of the Louisiana Baptist Convention.

The new BCM facility now stands on the existing property of University Avenue at ULM after the original building was torn down in 2015.

“We are excited about the impact BCM will continue to make at ULM,” said ULM BCM director Chad McClurg. “Our ministry loves the students, faculty, and administration of this university and we are grateful to many faithful givers to this project so that we can continue our ministry here.”

The center is expected to hold 300 to 400 people for worship services and special programs and 200 to 300 people for dining.
