Two middle school students in West Monroe are being honored by Duke University.

WEST MONROE, La. - Two middle school students in West Monroe are being honored by one of the nation's top universities.

Brendan O'Toole and Megan Olmstead, both seventh graders at West Ridge Middle, are being recognized by the Duke University Talent Identifaction Program -- or Duke Tips.

This program points out students who get exceptional scores on the A-C-T or S-A-T tests.

Duke honors seventh graders who rank in the 95th percentile on grade level for standardized tests.

Brendan and Megan were recognized at a ceremony this weekend at Northwestern State, and both will be in North Carolina in two weeks for the national ceremony.
