FARMERVILLE, La. - Union Parish sheriff’s deputies received a tip Sunday (March 19) that some stolen items and narcotics could likely be found at the residence located at 2740 Hwy. 828, Farmerville.

Sheriff Dusty Gates said the subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Michael Eugene Tucker, 47, who was booked into the parish detention center for possession of marijuana, possession of liquid hydrocodone, possession of legend drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $9,550.

Tucker signed a form giving consent to search his residence, deputies reported.

Deputies first searched Tucker’s bedroom where 7.9 grams of suspected marijuana was found along with a bottle containing liquid hydrocodone with someone else’s name on it. A grinder also was found in the bedroom.

Eight other pill bottles with different names on them also were found in the bedroom totaling 157 pills (Legend drugs), deputies reported.
